A Maasai-led safari camp in the wilds of Kenya.

On the border of the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Mara North Conservancy, our intimate safari camp calls you to recalibrate in nature, one wild encounter at a time. 

Enkusero takes its name from the Musiara Marsh, a great marshy land just beyond camp. This ancient, perennial water source has sustained wildlife and the Maasai communities for centuries.

Here, animals roam around us. Lone cheetahs pass through camp like their ancestors – Kisaru and Imani – did before them. Slow-moving herds of giraffe, zebra, antelope and buffalo pepper the plains en masse at different times of the day. At night, as we gather around the fire, lions echo in the distance while the moon looms against a diamond-dusted sky.

Under canvas, closer to nature.

With just three tents, our serene tented camp settles into the natural landscape amongst a patch of fig trees. In the seclusion, life on the plains of the Maasai Mara unfolds around us.

Inside our classic safari tents, wood is hand carved into furniture by local makers to reflect the contours of the earth outside, paired with soft textiles and soothing tones for deep comfort in the wild.

Arrive in style

By Air

There are multiple daily flights from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. We are a 15-minute drive from the Musiara Airstrip.

Travel time: 1 Hour

By Road

Take the road from Nairobi to Narok, the gateway to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will then follow the signs to get to the C13 road to Mara Rianta. Next, take a left turn towards the Musiara Gate. We are located about 5 km from here.

Travel time: 5 hours 

Private transfers from Nairobi and the Musiara Airstrip are available upon request.
