A classic safari camp grounded in culture and adventure to connect with the wild

Life under canvas is refreshingly simple, designed to harness the sounds of the African bush and provide occupants with a profound closeness to nature. With just three tents scattered across the savannah, we invite you to embrace the wild slowly and let it revive you.

Each tent features local, handcarved wooden furniture layered with soft textiles and traditional accents to capture the essence of the landscape outside. Large windows and roll-away canvas doors lead to private decks, poised for rolling views across the plains.

Enkusero Mara can host solo travellers, couples and small groups with the ease of all-inclusivity and the freedom to personalise every aspect of your safari, from meals to itineraries.

Life in Camp

The day begins before first light when animals slowly begin emerging from the thicket and predators seek rest after moonlit hunting.

Out here on these high-altitude plains, cool mornings entice you to linger over freshly brewed coffee before setting off on game drives.

On your return to camp, spend pleasantly warm afternoons beside the plunge pool or relax under the pergola and outdoor lounge where you can page through an African classic or try your hand at a board or card game.

The main dining and lounge tent is set under canvas at the heart of the camp. Here you will gather for meals, relax in the lounge or perch at the bar to savour Mesenka’s safari aperitifs.

Just beyond the main tent, a fire pit set on a circular deck under the stars entices late-night conversations and safari chatter that segues into stargazing over dancing embers, wrapped beneath cosy Shuka blankets.

“The perfect, authentic Maasai Mara experience.”

When I was considering booking a safari for our group of four, there were plenty of camps available. Enkusero Mara stood out because it's locally owned, intimate, perfectly placed, and had excellent reviews. Our 4 night stay at Enkusero Mara blew away our expectations. It was one of the best trips I've ever taken, and I'm planning to send as many friends and family here as possible.
