Welcome to a boutique, All-Inclusive tented Safari Camp on the border of the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Mara North Conservancy in Kenya.

Enkusero, pronounced (enku-say-row), is named after the great marshy land otherwise known as Musiara Marsh. Home territory of the Marsh lion pride, made famous by BBC’s Big Cat Diary TV series, the marsh is a perennial source of water that has served both wildlife and Maasai communities with a lifeline for centuries.

In the dry season, herds of elephants and buffalo congregate in the marsh making it prime wildlife viewing territory. With resident plains game abundant throughout the year, the marsh is a hotbed of activity that intensifies with the arrival of the annual Great Migration of zebra and wildebeest.

Handcrafted locally

Enkusero Mara offers just 3 beautiful suites, each floating above the ground in this wild landscape. To complement it’s remarkable wilderness surrounds, Enkusero Mara’s design aesthetic is a nod to celebrate local Kenyan art, design and creativity.

Each piece has been handcrafted and inspired by the incredible natural landscape; every experience can be personalised to your taste….an opportunity to relax, reconnect and replenish within the East African savannah.

The greatest Game Reserve on earth

Situated in the northern, less traversed region of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Enkusero Mara is perfectly positioned to be in the center of action, but secluded enough to offer the most extraordinary of safari experiences.

Resident plains game and big cat populations make this a year round destination, and our unique offering allows for a slower and more immersive travel experience. Travel during the less busier shoulder seasons to discover a lush landscape teeming with smaller fauna that are harder to spot when the mega herds arrive during peak season.
